Privacy Policy
Your trust matters to us. This policy explains, in plain terms, how we look after the information you share with Perú Crafted Experiences.
Who we are
Perú Crafted Experiences Ltd, registered in England & Wales (company no. 17362845), is the data controller responsible for the personal information you share with us. Our registered office address is available on request and will be confirmed with your booking.
The information we collect
When you enquire about a journey we collect the details you choose to share — your name, contact details and travel preferences — so that we can design and discuss your itinerary.
Legal basis for using your data
We rely on: your consent (for our occasional newsletter, which you can withdraw at any time); the performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request, to plan and arrange your journey; and our legitimate interests in responding to your enquiry and running our business, balanced against your rights.
How we use it
Your information is used solely to plan your travel, respond to your enquiry and, where you have opted in, to send occasional letters from Peru. We never sell your data.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only for as long as we need it to plan and deliver your journey and to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which it is securely deleted.
Sharing with partners
To arrange your journey we share only the necessary details with trusted local partners — hotels, guides and transport providers — who are bound to handle your data with equal care.
International transfers
Arranging your journey means sharing some details with our partners in Peru. Peru is not currently covered by a UK ‘adequacy’ decision, so where we transfer your data there we take appropriate steps to ensure it is protected to standards equivalent to those in the UK.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. It uses only your browser’s sessionStorage to remember, within a single visit, that you have already seen the intro animation. Nothing is stored between visits and nothing is shared with third parties.
Your rights
You may ask us at any time to access, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to unsubscribe from our newsletter. Simply get in touch and we will act promptly. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
